Vision

Her independent work is related to topics and themes such as social dilemmas, roots & identity, feminism, art, gastronomy, film and literature.

In some of her autonomous work (such as Blind Date & Healing) there is a subtle tension visible between the actual image and nuances of voyeurism. It’s this moment that a viewer gets persuaded to think.

Mandricardo uses an extraordinary approach to enable the creative process. Most of her work is based on her life’s coincidental encounters with people, who leaves a certain impression on her. This triggers her to capture their story. These individuals are then invited to come to one of her studios to cooperate as a model. Studios are based in The Netherlands, France and Italy.

This method has led to numerous and various projects which have been exhibited in several galleries, musea and art fairs in Europe. View the projects page to learn more about Mandricardo.
